Snow Hill Primary gives out a weekly award called "Terrific Kid" awards. Each teacher at SHP chooses a student who has been responsible, shows great character, or has reached a personal goal. The Electrical Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing electronic and electrical systems and providing technical support to other team members when needed. Preference will be given to candidates with a certification or degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance and/or related college or technical level course work. The purpose of Utilities Mechanic is to maintain, diagnose, repair, rebuild, adjust, perform preventive maintenance, and install equipment within and around the facility to keep the production operational and have zero loss of production. This individual will perform the duties of a Utilities Mechanic and assist other maintenance personnel on his/her shift and will be responsible for all necessary paperwork and documentation as they relate to the job. STARTING PAY $25/hr!!!

Responsible for managing a group of Maintenance Supervisors in support of building and equipment maintenance and repair. Determines strategies to reduce mechanical downtime and keep product flow and production lines running at maximum efficiency. Responsible for the development and implementation of maintenance systems associated with High Performing Manufacturing Organizations (Preventative and Predictive Maintenance, TPM, etc.).
The purpose of this position is to provide for the efficient and continuous operation of all plant systems and equipment with as little downtime as possible. This individual will install, service, trouble-shoot and repair all types of electronic and electrical controls and equipment and work closely with other maintenance personnel on his/her shift. This person will be responsible for all necessary paperwork and documentation of calibrations sheets, scale certification sheets, PM documentation, etc. as they relate to the job. This person will also provide technical assistance to trainees in all crafts as needed in the day-to-day operation of the plant.
Directs maintenance crews in the installation, repair and preventive maintenance of equipment used throughout the plant, facilities, utilities and powerhouse equipment. Oversees maintenance of processes in order to reduce mechanical downtime and keep product flows and production lines running at maximum efficiency.

Charles Thomas McDonald, 65, of Kinston passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Funeral service will be held 6:00 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2022, at Garner Funeral Home with Rev. Don Causley officiating. Visitation will follow the service and at other times at the home of the son, Kenneth McDonald.
