Greene Central hosts baseball camp
Greene Central hosts the annual baseball camp. This camp is put on through Greene County Parks and Recreation Department and Greene Central has hosted this camp for over 40 years. This four-day camp is open for kids aged 5-13 and it covers the fundamentals of baseball. Hitting, throwing, catching, baserunning, and position play were all covered during this camp.

Obituary: Billy Ray Sasser
Billy Ray Sasser, 58, of La Grange passed away peacefully on June 15, 2022 at Vidant Medical Center. A celebration of life service will be held at Howard-Carter Funeral Home on Monday, June 20, 2022 at 6pm.

An unknown party has obtained patient related information including names, social security numbers, medical codes, street addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, dates of birth, and genders of over 4700 patients.
UPDATE: Arrest made in Herritage St. fire
On Tuesday, June 14, 2022, the members of the Kinston Fire Department and Kinston Police Department responded to a structure fire at G-Works Automotive. During the investigation, it was determined the fire had been intentionally set.
