Obituary: Billy Ray Sasser
Billy Ray Sasser, 58, of La Grange passed away peacefully on June 15, 2022 at Vidant Medical Center in the presence of family.
Billy was a hard-working self-employed individual, skilled in many trades. He enjoyed being at the beach, drag racing and spending time at home with his family and pets. He was a great friend to all who knew him, and he will be truly missed by all who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond & Katie Sasser of Kinston; his siblings Pauline Braxton, Frances Alphin, Allen Sasser, and Raymond “Buddy” Sasser, Jr., all of Kinston; and his wife Vicky Sasser of La Grange. Billy is survived by his son Trey of La Grange; his sister Margaret Sanderson of Trenton; his brother James Sasser and wife Janice of Pine Level; his sister Kathy Cauley and husband Bryan of Kinston; as well as too much extended family to count.
A celebration of life service will be held at Howard-Carter Funeral Home on Monday, June 20, 2022 at 6pm.
