Greene Early College held their annual award day ceremony where they announced the recipients of four different scholarships. Yahir Ponce, Dorien Sutton, Lorien Stocks, Madia Harris, and Monejah Rouse, together, received a total of $18,000.

Lenoir County Line Dancers have won Gold at the Neuse River Senior Games six out of the last seven years. While most of the events were in-person, the line dancers submitted a video for their “Bootin Scootin Boogie” dance. The deadline for businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic to apply for Phase 2 of the Business Recovery Grant Program (BRG) is Wednesday, June 1.
