International flight makes emergency landing at GTP this afternoon
After experiencing some mechanical issues, an international flight (a chartered plane) landed at the Global TransPark in Kinston this afternoon. The flight originated in Antigua and was bound for New York. The flight landed safely at the GTP; there were no injuries on the flight.
NWS Morehead City: Some Severe Thunderstorms Possible Thursday Afternoon/Evening
Showers and some storms are possible tonight, but a better threat for a few severe thunderstorms arrives later Thursday afternoon and into the early evening ahead of a cold front. The best chance for a severe storm will be inland Eastern NC.

Two additional commercial turkey operations in Johnston County have tested positive for High Path Avian Influenza. These farms were identified during increased surveillance following the first positive HPAI case and are located in the 10 kilometer or 6.2 mile zone identified as a result of that positive case.
