Continuing a nine-year commitment

Honoring a nine year contractual agreement with NC Department of Transportation’s Adopt-A-Highway Program, sixty Greene Early College students recently combed Middle School Road bagging trash. Under the leadership of English teacher, Natasha Martin, applied in September 2012 to DOT for the 1.2 mile road to be adopted by the school.

Kinston Police ask for help in identifying suspect in case of counterfeit checks

The individual in this photo was able to get away with a significant amount of money by using counterfeit checks. The incident was reported on 09-14-21 and actually occurred some months prior. Kinston Police: Federal sentencing handed down for defendants in recent criminal cases

The Kinston Police Department, along with partnering local municipal law enforcement agencies, North Carolina SBI, ATF, USDOJ, our local District Attorney Office and the United States Attorney’s Office continue to work together to combat violent crime in Kinston. Over the past month, several defendants from cases that took place within our jurisdiction have been sentenced through the Federal system. One of our main goals at the Kinston Police Department is to build partnerships to reduce crime in our community.
