Gina Thomasine Turner Justice, 66, of Pink Hill, passed away on August 15, 2023, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by loved ones. The family will receive guests on Thursday, August 17th from 6pm to 8pm at the Pink Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 18th at 2pm, with interment to follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill.
Patrick Allen Gordon, formerly of Kinston, passed away on August 8, 2023, following a stroke. A memorial service will be held at Shady Grove Baptist Church, 3805 Carpenter Pond Road, Durham, NC on Friday, August 18, 2023, at 11:00 AM. Entombment will be private in Kinston.
Jean J. Jones, age 90, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at her home. Graveside Services will be held 3 PM Sunday, August 13th, at the Snow Hill Cemetery with Reverend Alex Ellis officiating. The family will greet friends and extended relatives immediately following the service at the cemetery.
Carol Rouse Simmons passed away with her husband, Gerald Simmons, by her side at home on Monday, July 17, 2023 in Raleigh, North Carolina at age 86. A private family graveside dedication of the head stone and a portion of Carol’s ashes will take place in Kinston in the fall.
Thomas Bursell “Nick” Thompson, Jr., 70, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2023. A memorial service will be conducted Friday, July 28, 2023, at 11am in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service.

Virginia “Boot” Harris Spence, 88, of Kinston, went home to Jesus peacefully at home on Saturday, July 1, 2023 with her family by her side after months of declining health. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 14, 2023 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home, and other times at the home of the deceased from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., July 10 through July 13, 2023.

Visitation will begin at 10:30am followed by a memorial service beginning at 11:30am.

Ronald (Ron) Charles Anderson, 80, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa passed away Friday, June 23, 2023 at Mercy Medical Center surrounded by his family. The family will receive friends at Teahan Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 28th at 10 a.m., followed by the memorial service at 11 a.m. A private burial will take place at Hala Cemetery in Amana, Iowa at a later time.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 22 at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Fellowship Church with Pastor John Robert Harris officiating. Burial will follow the service at Westview Cemetery.
