Helen Erelene Edwards Webb, 82, of Kinston, left this earth for her Heavenly home on Friday, November 5, 2021. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Kinston. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jon Hoover and Pastor Don Causey officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
William "Bill" Alexander Ritch, 62, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021. A private memorial service for close friends and family will be held at 1pm Friday, October 29,2021 at Westminster United Methodist Church,1001 Westminster Lane, Kinston, NC 28501.
Pastor Dennis Ledford went home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 26, 2021. The funeral service will be held on October 30, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at Howard-Carter Funeral Home, with visitation following the funeral service.
Donald Parrish, 76, completed his earthly work on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, and now rests from his labors at the feet of his Heavenly Father. A service of love and remembrance will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at La Grange First Free Will Baptist Church with Pastors Ronnie Hobgood and Gabe Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Committal will follow at Daly’s Chapel Church Cemetery, Seven Springs.
Virginia Jane Stroud Sutton, 88, of Kinston passed away on October 10, 2021, at home surrounded by her loved ones. A graveside service will be held 3 pm on Friday, October 15, 2021, at Westview Cemetery in Kinston, NC.
Lewis Whitfield “LW” Herring Jr. of LaGrange passed from his earthly home on October 8, 2021 at the Wake Med ICU after a valiant fight. A service of remembrance will be held at the LaGrange Christian Church Sunday, October 17, 2021 at 2:00pm.
Bobby Royce Davenport, 86, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021 at UNC Rex Hospital.

Grace Casper Sutton, affectionately known as “Amazing Grace”, passed away peacefully Friday evening, September 24, 2021 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center at the age of 90. Stantonsburg - Nathan Kenneth “Ken” Skinner, Jr., 51, passed away on August 26, 2021. Although his departure from this life was unexpected and seems unfair, his welcome in Heaven had been prepared and his arrival was no less grand beyond compare. The family will receive friends at Rouse Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 beginning at 5:00 p.m. A service to celebrate and remember Ken’s life will follow the visitation at 6:00 p.m.

John Earl “Johnny” Craft, 63, of Grifton, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at UNC Lenoir Health Care. A visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Sharon United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Reverend Curtis Hammock officiating. In light of recent health concerns, the family requests those attending the services wear face masks while inside.
PINK HILL - The Honorable Carol S. Sykes passed away on Friday, August 26, 2021 at N.C. Heart and Vascular Hospital in Raleigh. A celebratory Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 31 at the home of Leigh Turner (aka Turner Beach) at 105 Bill Sutton Road in Pink Hill. Ross Pipkin, 77, of Marion, NC and formerly of Kinston died August 18th at the VA Hospital in Asheville, NC. Ross leaves behind a loving family and close friends. Surviving is his son, Ross Sikora of Asheville, NC and siblings, Penny Craven (the late Michael Craven) of Kinston, Joe (Cora Mae) of Trenton, Wendy Efird (Ronnie) of Norwood, NC, his very close friends, Debra Rector and daughter Danielle of Marion, NC, Nancy Mills of Mint Hill, NC and many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by many.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Family Life Center. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery on Friday, August 13th at 10:00 a.m.
