Addison Canady, a young angler from the area, made waves at the Third Annual Big Rock Kids Tournament held from July 10-13, 2024. Badcock Home Furniture & More announced the closure of its Kinston store as part of a broader plan to shutter 35 locations nationwide. This move comes after Conn’s HomePlus, which acquired Badcock in December 2023, decided to close 71 of its own showrooms. The Kinston store is among the seven Badcock locations in North Carolina affected by the downsizing.
