Greene County Schools held an Aviation and Aerospace camp for Academically and/or Intellectually Gifted rising 4th and 5th-grade students from July 10th to 12th. The camp, organized in partnership with community members and organizations, provided an array of enriching experiences.

Kinston's National Night Out will be August 1, 2023, from 6p -8p in the parking lot of Historic Grainger Stadium. The City of Kinston collaborated with partners to create a Master Plan for Emma Webb Park, addressing flooding impacts and incorporating community input. The renovation includes walking trails, an amphitheater, basketball courts, a splash pad, and an enhanced playground area.
What should an educational experience look like? Is to be contained within four (4) walls of a classroom or can it be conducted in the natural environment of the outdoors? There is an argument to be made that both spaces can work in conjunction with each other. The broader questions asked here is what has given rise to the idea of an outdoor classroom for E. B. Frink Middle School.
