I went by North Lenoir High School last Tuesday to pick up applications for the Wheat Swamp Ruritan Club college scholarship. The purpose of the scholarship is to assist young men and women to secure formal training beyond high school.

Habitat now taking applications for next two homes
Habitat for Humanity of Goldsboro-Wayne is accepting applications, now until May 12, for its next two new home construction projects in Lenoir County. These projects, which are slated to begin in early 2024, are part of Habitat Goldsboro-Wayne’s official expansion to include Lenoir County in its service area.

Greene County receives a $50,000 grant to support the reuse of a building in Snow Hill
The North Carolina Rural Infrastructure Authority (RIA) has approved nine grant requests to local governments totaling $2,221,694, Governor Roy Cooper announced today. Lenoir County Sheriff's Office partners with solid waste department to combat illegal dumping

Due to a recent increase of illegal dumping and litter, Lenoir County officials are urging residents to dispose of household trash through regular collection services and facilities. The Lenoir County Solid Waste Department (LCSWD) has been notified of multiple instances of household waste being discarded illegally on roadsides.
Free COVID-19 Tests Available for North Carolina Households Through June 2023

ReBuild NC Homeowner Recovery Program application period closing April 21
