Take Control ENC, a free diabetes workshop
Friday, March 24th at the Lenoir County Cooperative Extension located at 1791 NC Hwy 11, there will be a free diabetes workshop called Take Control ENC. There will be giveaways, healthy eating exhibitions and more.

The N.C. Department of Transportation’s Division of Aviation recently awarded $3,000 grants to 10 airports to assist with hosting aviation and aerospace-themed summer academies for middle and high school students.

More than 70 martial artists from across North and South Carolina and Maine attended the annual Shihan Barry Huneycutt and Hanshi Lemuel Stroud Memorial Seminar Saturday at Lenoir Community College. The seminar was hosted by Stroud’s School of Martial Arts in Kinston and Charles June Karate Institute of Greenville.

Amazon, United Way Donate to Local Shelters
Amazon’s local Kinston plant and Lenoir/Greene United Way teamed up to donate personal care products to three local shelters. Donations of men’s and women’s undergarments, toiletries, socks and cleansing wipes were given to Greene County Interfaith in Snow Hill, SAFE and the Friends of the Homeless shelter…a donation valued at over $1,000.
