Lenoir Oxygen Supply to close after 64 years
Lenoir Oxygen Supply, at 208 W. Gordon Street in Kinston will close its doors on December 30, 2022 for the final time as owner Jack Boone retires. Lenoir Oxygen Supply was also a welding Supply Store and Small Engine Parts. Lenoir Oxygen Supply was started in 1958.

Lenoir County Sheriff's Office seeks public assistance in identification
On Wednesday, Dec. 21, Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an alarm call at Faith Fellowship Church (2278 Pauls Path Road, Kinston). When they arrived, they discovered an unlocked door to the church in the back of the church. Video footage showed this suspect opening the door; once the alarm went off, the suspect fled on foot.

Santa’s elves from the 8th Judicial District Family Court, Accountability and Recovery Courts, and Departments of Social Services were busy this week gathering gifts for children involved in abuse, neglect and dependency court in Greene, Lenoir and Wayne Counties.

Jones County Sheriff's office participates in multi-agency, border-to-border saturation patrol
The Jones County Sheriff's Office participated in a multi-agency, border-to-border saturation patrol on US17. The saturation patrol resulted in a combined total of 30 charges and 4 arrests. Charges were as follows; Speed-24, DWI- 1, DWLR- 1, NOL-1, Reckless Driving- 1, Drug- 2, and Wanted Persons- 3.

According to the Jones County, NC Facebook Page: The Trenton Public Library will close temporarily beginning January 9, 2023, for renovations.
