Dorien Sutton, 2022 Greene Early College and Lenoir Community College graduate, has received the Golden Leaf Foundation Scholarship, as announced by the Foundation’s CEO, Scott T. Hamilton.
Eliza Hawkins was presented The Sue Marcom Jones Scholastic Achievement Award by Morgan Carter at Moss Hill School on May 31, 2022. This award is given annually to the fifth grade student with the highest grade average while in fifth grade. Eliza is the daughter of Barry and Rebecca Hawkins of Kinston.

Changes are happening within Greene County Schools. Greene Early College High School will get a new principal. Mr. Taylor Moore will take over as principal for Greene Early College. The current principal, Dr. Rodney McNeill, will become the new Executive Director of Human Capital effective July 1.
