Isabelle Vernon had harbored a desire to be a school teacher since she was in the eighth grade, but when the South Lenoir High School senior got the call – literally got the call – she hung up by accident.
Two Parrott Academy sophomores have been accepted into the NC Governor’s School in dance after completing applications and submitting audition videos.
Three groups from Kinston High went and competed in the Regional NC Science and Engineering Fair. All three groups placed 1st in their division.
With a unanimous vote, The Greene County Board of Education selected Dr. Frank Creech as the next superintendent at their meeting this evening. An experienced education leader, Dr. Creech will succeed outgoing superintendent, Dr. Patrick Miller, and will assume responsibilities on July 1, 2022.
