Students who join must be invited into the organization, completed 12 hours of college coursework toward an associate degree, and maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

The Golden LEAF Scholarship application for the 2022-2023 academic year is now available at CFNC.org. A total of 215 awards will be offered to first-time recipients from qualifying rural and economically distressed or tobacco-dependent counties. Applications are due March 1, 2022.

Cognia, the international school improvement organization, has named Lenoir County Public Schools a District of Distinction, a designation of excellence granted to only 20 school districts worldwide for 2021 and an honor associated with LCPS’s strong performance in last spring’s accreditation review.
Lenoir County Board of Education to hold Special Meeting
The Lenoir County Board of Education will convene a called special meeting on Monday, January 10, 2022, at 6 p.m. at the Board of Education office at 2017 W. Vernon Ave., Kinston. The meeting will be conducted in a face-to-face format.
