Sheriff Jackie Rogers announces arrest of La Grange murder suspect

According to the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office, a Wallace man has been arrested for the murder of Anthony Harris of La Grange. “I would like to acknowledge the hard work by our investigators in this case,” Lenoir County Sheriff Jackie Rogers said. “They worked around the clock to make sure we caught the person who committed this crime. The residents of Lenoir County are lucky to have such dedicated public servants protecting them.”

Warrants obtained in Woodington MS incident

The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office has obtained warrants for the arrest of Kegan Van Damke of Lewisville in regards to the break-in reported at Woodington Middle School. Damke has not yet been taken into custody. Kinston man arrested on sex offense charges

A 42-year-old Kinston man has been arrested on sex offense charges against a 13-year-old girl. On Sept. 3, the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office received information from a concerned parent about alleged inappropriate behavior between an adult male and a juvenile female. The LCSO investigation led the agency to press charges against Virgil Todd Chase for attempted statutory sex and indecent liberties with a minor.

Traffic stop leads to drug arrest

Officers on C-Squad conducted a traffic stop with Seth Griffin (22) related to a Driving While Impaired investigation. The investigation lead to Griffin's arrest for Driving While Impaired and Possession of Methamphetamine. In addition, he was also cited for additional traffic offenses. Griffin was placed in the LC Jail under a secured bond.

Man arrested on 14 felony charges

A Dudley man was arrested today on 14 felony charges and placed in the Lenoir County Jail in response to multiple larceny and breaking-and-entering incidents at area sweepstakes businesses. The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office has been actively investigating the incidents since late July.
