A two-month narcotics investigation ended Thursday with the arrest of a La Grange man on a plethora of charges.
The Greene County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit arrested 45-year-old, Qusim Haneffe Maine Sr. of the Jason area, Tuesday afternoon, for the sell of heroin and meth.
Officer L. Perry conducted a traffic stop on US 258 bypass in Snow Hill. Officer Perry was assisted by Greene County Sheriff’s Office narcotics units after the initial stop was made. GCSO's K9 "Sasha" alerted on the vehicle and a thorough search was conducted of the vehicle.
A man was taken into custody by the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office in the 2100 block of Paul’s Path this afternoon following a search that included an LCSO canine.
All traffic on Liddell Road -- from Eric Sparrow Road to Old Pink Hill Road -- has been blocked by the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office due to a barricaded subject at a Liddell Road residence. When the situation is resolved, the road will re-open.

Christopher Shawn Tyndall, 38, of Pink Hill, was found unresponsive in the jail and was transported to UNC Lenoir Health Care, where he later passed away.
On Sunday, the woman, Tammy Arnita Manning, was discovered unresponsive in her vehicle on Tick Bite Road in Grifton. When LCSO patrol units on A-Shift responded to the suspicious vehicle complaint, medical personnel were providing care to her.

The Kinston Police Department obtained warrants for Brennan Dijuon Hill (23) of Kinston in regard to Sunday’s shooting of a Lenoir County Paramedic. On Monday, May 29, 2023, officers with the KPD apprehended Hill. Hill was taken to the Magistrate where he was placed under a secured bond and released to the custody of the Lenoir County Jail.
The Kinston Police Department has obtained warrants for Mario Devon King (34) in connection with the shooting and murder of Franklin Antonio Bowden II. Mr. King is wanted for First Degree Murder and should be considered armed and dangerous.

On May 24, 2023, officers from B-Squad responded to Taco Bell on W Vernon Ave for a report of Indecent Exposure. Officers made contact with the victims that included employees and customers (including a juvenile) and obtained a description of the subject.
Fifty-year-old Fernando Montell Hicks, the owner of Beary Smokey Smokehouse, was arrested on May 2, 2023, on felony charges of animal cruelty in Pitt County with a court date on July 12, 2023. Hicks, who stands at 6'01" and weighs 350 lbs, is currently in a pretrial status. He was given a $10,000 secured bond.
On May 21, 2023, at 08:30 am, officers from C-Squad responded to an active breaking and entering into a motor vehicle. Officers arrived on scene and the victim was was able to provide a detailed description of the subject.
