Jones County Health Department is pleased to announce that it will be partnering with StarMed Healthcare to host a COVID-19 drive-thru testing event this Thursday, June 4, 2020 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Jones County Civic Center, which is located at 832 Hwy 58 South, Trenton, NC. Any county resident wanting to be tested at the event must complete a virtual health screening prior to receiving a COVID-19 test.
Chief Justice Cheri Beasley has entered three additional emergency orders in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The orders extend several existing emergency directives, extend the time for filing a notice of appeal, stay all pending evictions, and create a new mediation program for evictions.
Beginning June 1, 2020, the Courthouse and Sheriff's Office will resume normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Only 100 people will be allowed in the courthouse at one time, not including courthouse staff. Everyone will be required to have their temperature taken when they enter the courthouse using infrared technology.
