Enthusiastic Bell Ringers are needed to help The Salvation Army "ring" in the Christmas season.
Assignments for bell ringing will be Monday through Saturday from November 16th through December 24th. The Bell Ringer ensures that the Kettle is never left unattended and also greets the public in a courteous and friendly manner.

Lenoir County has been awarded federal funds made available through the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/Federal Emergency Management Agency under the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program.
Union Bank helps Salvation Army fight pandemic
A gift of $10,000 from Greenville, NC-based Union Bank, to The Salvation Army of Kinston will provide much needed help and hope to Lenoir County-area families and individuals impacted by COVID-19. The donation is earmarked to provide food and meal assistance to children and families impacted by the pandemic.

The Salvation Army in Kinston has reached back to Christmas 2019 to pay it forward during the COVID-19 crisis. Christmas toys left over and stored awaiting the next Yule are instead being given to children under 12 in Lenoir, Greene, and Duplin Counties who have a birthday between April 1 and May 31, 2020. Lenoir County has been awarded Federal funds
Lenoir County has been chosen to receive $26,555 to supplement emergency food and shelter programs in the county. Public or private voluntary agencies interested in applying for Emergency Food and Shelter Program funds must contact The Salvation Army at 252.523.5175 for an application. The deadline for applications to be received is February 29, 2020.
Seasonal donations to the Salvation Army are significantly down
