The annual Strides walk continues to bring community support to diabetes awareness efforts in Kinston, with this year’s event raising more than $12,000 so far and still accepting donations, according to Strides Chair Sharon Axelberg.

The Lions’ annual Rockin’ Walk-A-Thon is set to return Saturday, March 28, at the Kinston Community Center, continuing a local effort that has raised money for diabetes awareness, camp scholarships and patient assistance in Lenoir County.
