These past few months have been a turmoil of emotions. October started on a high with a family and friends vacation to Gulf Shores, AL gifted by Custom Sound Designs (CSD) in recognition for the tech work done during COVID lockdowns at church.

One reason I take such delight in the Christmas season comes from the pleasure I derive from Christmas music. “Joy to the World,” “Silent Night,” “Away in a Manager,” and “Angels We Have Heard on High” spring immediately to mind.
Reece Gardner: It's the season for love and forgiveness
Well, another Thanksgiving observance has come and gone, and I hope you had a wonderful time. As I mentioned in last week's Column, I had the wondrous opportunity to spend a few days with my wonderful children & grandchildren, and blessings abounded. And now we can all look forward, you and I, to Christmas and the love and laughter we will once again have the opportunity to experience. One of my favorite movies of all time is "It's A Wonderful Life."
Rudy Coggins: Holiday season holds a different meaning
Before that glorious afternoon this past August, my world had been turned upside down, inside out and flipped backward with the passing of my dad and my mom in 2018. They died 8 1/2 months within each other. This is the second holiday season without them. And the 12th without my only brother, who passed away in 2008.
