Snow Hill post office joined the fight against breast cancer in the U. S. Post Office Breast Cancer Awareness initiative during October 2023. The results were phenomenal for the Snow Hill Office. Competing with all the post offices in North Carolina, the office finished second in the state, behind New Bern which placed first
Kinston held its first Harts for Hope campaign, hosted by Marsha Heath. The one-mile walk was held at Contentnea-Savannah K-8 School and raised just under $20,000 to support those going through gynecological cancers.
The Pink is the Link team had a great walk October 24. They had 62 walkers, according to Tammy Everett, and raised $2,400 for the Angel Fund, a fund in the Lenoir Hospital Foundation that supports cancer patients that are struggling financially.
This year’s main event will be held from 6 p.m. until midnight on Friday at the Kinston Community Center.
