RALEIGH – The N.C. Department of Transportation Integrated Mobility Division (IMD) has announced the 2026 grant recipients of the Bicycle Helmet Initiative, a program focused on improving bicycle safety and promoting helmet use among riders of all ages statewide.
Applications are open to receive free bicycle helmets from the N.C. Department of Transportation.
The N.C. Department of Transportation plans to provide thousands of bike helmets to children across the state to reduce serious injuries and save lives.
