The Lenoir Community College Foundation is proud to welcome Piggly Wiggly Fresh Buy again as a Master sponsor of this year’s annual LCC Golf Classic, which will be held Thursday, May 18 at the Kinston Country Club.  This event has raised over $600,000 toward student scholarships at LCC since its inception, and Piggly Wiggly Fresh Buy has been a consistent supporter for the past several years.  Nearly 130 golfers played in the tournament last year, and the Foundation is expecting an even better attendance this year.

This tournament is the largest fundraiser of the year for the LCC Foundation and helps support the general scholarship fund.  Through events like the LCC Golf Classic, the LCC Foundation funded and awarded over 200 scholarships last year.

Massey Toyota, Spirit AeroSystems, First National Bank, West Pharmaceutical, Crown, Neuse News, WRNS, and numerous other local companies are all sponsors of this year’s event.   Thanks to the monetary support of generous donors, the LCC Foundation is able to support hundreds of students with help paying for tuition, books and emergency loans.

For tournament information and sponsorship opportunities, you may contact Katherine Pearson, Development Coordinator for LCC, at 252-233-6843, or by email at kwpearson52@lenoircc.edu.
