KPD/LCSO Narcotics Task Force assists with compliance checks

Detectives with the Kinston-Lenoir Narcotics Task Force recently assisted the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction, Probation and Parole, with compliance checks at multiple residences throughout the City of Kinston and Lenoir County.

The purpose of the operation was to verify compliance with probation conditions, identify criminal activity, and enhance public safety through collaborative enforcement efforts.

During the operation, detectives responded to a residence on the 400 block of Darby Avenue to assist with a search of the residence of 41-year-old Dominique Graham. During the search, detectives located approximately 10 pounds of marijuana, a large amount of U.S. currency, and drug paraphernalia consistent with the distribution of marijuana.

Graham was arrested and charged with Trafficking Marijuana, Felony Possession of Marijuana, Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Marijuana, and Felony Maintaining a Dwelling.

Detectives also responded to a residence on the 1300 block of Manchester Road to assist with a search of the residence of 57-year-old James Patterson. During the search, detectives located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Patterson was arrested and charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Felony Maintaining a Dwelling, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
