Pink Hill chiropractor appointed to state association board
PINK HILL — Dr. Jennifer Murphy of Pink Hill Chiropractic has been appointed to the North Carolina Chiropractic Association’s Board of Directors, effective Jan. 1, 2027, according to an announcement from the practice.
Murphy said the appointment is a way to continue giving back to her community, her patients and the chiropractic profession.
“My parents raised me to always find ways to give back to my community,” Murphy said. “This opportunity gives me the resources to give back not only to chiropractic, but also give back to my patients through positive changes to the profession I love.”
The North Carolina Chiropractic Association is a professional membership organization that represents chiropractors across the state. Its mission is to promote, protect, educate and advocate for the chiropractic profession in North Carolina.
The association provides continuing education and professional resources for members, monitors legislation affecting chiropractic care, communicates with lawmakers and works with insurance companies and health care networks on issues affecting chiropractors and their patients.
Murphy said she began thinking about the next stage of her career as her son became more independent. Now entering her fourth decade as a chiropractor, she said she wants to help younger chiropractors succeed and help chiropractic become a larger part of American health care.
“I have personally seen so many of not only my patients, but those of my colleagues who changed the outcome of a patient’s future with chiropractic and I want more of that,” Murphy said.
Murphy has been involved with the association for 30 years. Her work began with attending Legislative Day in Raleigh, where she met with representatives alongside the NCCA. She later served on the PAC committee and Legislative Committee. Last year, she became a district liaison and will now serve on the board.
“The North Carolina Chiropractic Association has those same goals,” Murphy said. “I have been part of the organization for 30 years and now I have the time, relationships and knowledge to lend to achieving those same goals. It will be an exciting adventure with people I truly respect.”
The Board of Directors helps govern the association and guide its policies, finances, educational programs, advocacy efforts and other professional initiatives. The association is separate from the North Carolina Board of Chiropractic Examiners, the state agency responsible for licensing and regulating chiropractors.
Murphy founded Pink Hill Chiropractic in 1996 after graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, in 1995. She later completed advanced education in pediatric and maternity chiropractic care.
Murphy has previously served in leadership roles within professional chiropractic organizations. She was named the North Carolina Chiropractic Association’s Doctor of the Year in 2017 and received the organization’s Dr. Faye B. Eagles Woman of Chiropractic Award in 2012.
Pink Hill Chiropractic announced the appointment on its social media page and congratulated Murphy on the honor.
