Maysville Employee Receives Civic Foundation Scholarship
RALEIGH, N.C. (8/27/2026)—Civic Foundation proudly congratulates Demetrius Jones, Finance Officer / HR Director for the Town of Maysville upon receiving a scholarship to attend the Cash Management and Investment of Public Funds course at the UNC School of Government.
According to Demetrius, “I am sincerely grateful for this investment in my professional development. This course will strengthen my knowledge of financial stewardship. This scholarship makes it possible for me to expand my expertise while reducing the financial burden of professional education, allowing me to better serve our residents and contribute to the long-term financial success of our community.”
The UNC School of Government is the largest university-based local government training, advisory, and research organization in the United States, offering nearly 200 courses, webinars, and specialized conferences.
