ECU Health, UnitedHealthcare reach new agreement

ECU Health and UnitedHealthcare have reached a new multiyear agreement restoring in-network access across ECU Health for members enrolled in UnitedHealthcare commercial, Medicaid and Medicare Advantage plans.

The agreement took effect Aug. 7 and includes all ECU Health facilities and providers. UnitedHealthcare members also have expanded in-network access to ECU Health’s freestanding outpatient facilities, including its endoscopy centers and ECU Health SurgiCenter.

Patients who canceled or postponed appointments during the negotiations may contact their provider’s office or use MyChart to reschedule. ECU Health said patients with coverage questions should call the number on the back of their insurance identification card.
