Lenoir County Sheriff's Office recognizes outstanding deputies

Sheriff Jackie Rogers and the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office proudly recognized four outstanding deputies for their exceptional service, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the citizens of Lenoir County.

These deputies have demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and compassion while serving our community, and their actions exemplify the highest standards of the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office.

Deputy A. Harrelson received the Sheriff's Commendation Award for his quick response and decisive actions that prevented a female from seriously injuring medical personnel. His ability to act swiftly under pressure helped bring a dangerous situation under control and ensured the safety of those involved.

Deputy A. Grant was presented with a Letter of Recognition for his prompt response and effective deployment of his K-9 partner, which proved instrumental in assisting a neighboring law enforcement agency with the apprehension of a burglary suspect.

Lieutenant W. Barrett and Sergeant E. Carlyle each received a Letter of Recognition for their extraordinary commitment during a welfare check involving a resident whose home had reached temperatures of approximately 120 degrees. Recognizing the urgent need, they went beyond the scope of their normal duties by assisting with the installation of an air conditioning unit and repairing the resident's porch, demonstrating genuine compassion and a commitment to improving the well-being of those they serve.
