The Lenoir County Sheriff's Office has arrested two individuals following an investigation into multiple vehicle break-ins that occurred on John Green Smith Road.

The Lenoir County Sheriff's Office has arrested two individuals following an investigation into multiple vehicle break-ins that occurred on John Green Smith Road.

On July 5, 2026, D-Shift deputies responded to a report of a suspicious person on the property. While checking the residence and surrounding area, deputies discovered a vehicle with a shattered window and evidence that property had been removed from several vehicles. After reviewing surveillance footage, investigators identified the suspects as Amanda Howard and Curtis Ramsey, both of Lenoir County.

On July 6, 2026, C-Shift deputies located and arrested both individuals on outstanding warrants related to the investigation.

Amanda Howard was charged with:
โ€ข Felony Accessory After the Fact
โ€ข Felony Conspiracy to Commit a Felony

Curtis Ramsey was charged with:
โ€ข Three Counts of Felony Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle

Both were placed in the Lenoir County Detention Center under a no bond.
