Jones County nonprofits receive grants from community foundation

The Jones County Community Foundation, a North Carolina Community Foundation affiliate, has awarded $4,600 in grants to four organizations supporting the local community. The board of advisors granted:

  • $1,500 to Community Academy for Leadership & Life Skills, Inc. for Long Point/Stella Leadership Summit

  • $1,000 to The Filling Station for Nutrition Education

  • $1,100 to Jones County Community Hope, Inc. for โ€œNourishmentโ€ Works

  • $1,000 to North Carolina Symphony for Music Discovery for Jones County Preschoolers

โ€œSupporting local nonprofits and organizations is essential for community strength,โ€ said Dan Ryan, advisory board president of the Jones County Community Foundation. โ€œOur permanent philanthropy helps turn generosity into impact by building a lasting source of support for Jones County.โ€

Funds for 2026 grants came from the Jones County Community Foundationโ€™s community grantmaking fund. Each year, the Jones County Community Foundation advisory board uses dollars from its endowment fund to make grants to eligible local organizations, including nonprofits, local governments, schools and churches.
