Deep Run Independence Day parade set for June 27

DEEP RUN — Deep Run will celebrate Independence Day with a community parade, food, vendors, fireworks and live music Friday, June 27.

The Deep Run Independence Day Parade is scheduled for 6 p.m. The celebration will include a performance by Band of Oz and a fireworks show at 9 p.m., according to event organizer Jo Ellen Sloan.

“We hope everyone will come,” Sloan said. “We got the Band of Oz again, and fireworks at 9. The parade starts at 6.”

The event is being held as communities across the country prepare to mark Independence Day and the nation’s 250th anniversary. In Deep Run, the celebration is expected to bring residents, families, local businesses and visitors together for an evening of music, food and patriotic festivities.

Sloan has been coordinating parade details and sharing updates leading up to the event. Anyone with questions about the parade may contact Sloan at 252-775-9131.

The parade will be held in Deep Run.
