Obituary: Judith Conway Gordon

Raleigh, NC - Judith Conway Gordon, formerly of Kinston, passed away on June 14, 2026.

A memorial service will be held at Shady Grove Church, 3805 Carpenter Pond Road, Durham, NC on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 5:00 PM. Entombment will be private in Kinston.

Judy was born in Kinston, NC on November 21, 1944, to Hubert Earl Conway and Alma Louise Conway. Judy was an outstanding professor for over 30 years and received her doctorate degree in higher education administration.

Judy is survived by her children Eric Allen Gordon and Robin Gordon Maurer, her grandchildren, Aaron Bacher, Patrick Bacher, Mitchell Maurer, and Nicholas Bacher; and her sister Jacquelyn Conway Walker Atkins.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Allen Gordon.

Her children will always remember her love for her family and her as being one of their biggest supporters in this life! We love you and miss you mom! Until we see you again in heaven, we will hold you in our hearts!
