UNC Health Lenoir Earns Another “A” for Patient Safety

UNC Health Lenoir has once again received an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group. This national honor highlights an ongoing dedication to providing exceptional, safe patient care for the communities the hospital serves.

“Earning an ‘A’ represents the collective effort of our physicians, nurses, and support staff, whose daily commitment ensures our patients receive the safest, highest-quality care possible,” says Dr. Crystal Hayden, President and CEO, UNC Health Lenoir, “ I am incredibly proud of our team and grateful for the energy and commitment they bring to patient care every day.”

Leapfrog’s Hospital Safety Grades are based on more than thirty national measures that evaluate how well hospitals prevent medical errors, infections, and other forms of harm. Earning an ‘A’ once again places UNC Health Lenoir among the top-performing hospitals in the country when it comes to patient safety.
