Obituary: Isabelle Wiggins Eubank
Isabelle Wiggins Eubank, 98, of Kinston and formerly of Trenton, NC, went to her heavenly home on Monday morning, May 18, 2026.
A visitation will be held on Monday, May 25, 2026, 1-2 PM, at Edwards Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow immediately after. Interment will follow at Trenton Municipal Cemetery.
Isabelle was born in Carteret County, North Carolina, on July 31, 1927, to the late William Andrew Wiggins and Margie Marie Holland Wiggins.
She was a longtime member of Trenton Baptist Church and First Baptist Church in Kinston. The most meaningful time in her life was rearing her three daughters with her husband in the Christian faith. She was the owner of Trenton Beauty Shop for over 20 years where community ladies enjoyed gathering for special treatment and her cooking. After retirement, she and her husband spent many years traveling and enjoying their home at Emerald Isle, enjoying family, friends, and activities. Her husband, Guy Eugene Eubank, passed away in 1998 after 53 years of marriage devoted to each other.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Guy Eugene Eubank; sisters, Mary Wiggins Garner, Olive Wiggins Turner, and brother, William A. Wiggins.
Isabelle is survived by her three daughters, Phyllis Eubank West (Edward) of Cary, Brenda Eubank Dodson (T.A.) of Kinston, and Cheryl Eubank Kennedy (Jerry) of Leland, and granddaughter, Gena Marie Dodson.
She was the oldest of eight children with four surviving siblings, Lora Bridwell of Kinston, Robert Wiggins of Morehead City, Thomas Wiggins of Windsor, VA, and Leonard Wiggins (LaRae) of Swansboro, and many special nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Linda Price, Nedra Jones Gooding, and Freda Coward for their loving care during the last few years of their Mom’s life and also 3HC Hospice and Interim Health Care of Kinston, NC.
