222 Chop House announces summer closure, plans renovations

KINSTON — 222 Chop House Wine Bar & Lounge has announced it will temporarily close for the summer, pausing regular service from June 1 through August 31.

In a statement, the team thanked the community for its continued support and said the decision comes after reflecting on seasonal challenges and the need for kitchen renovations to support future growth.

While regular dining service will be suspended, the restaurant will continue to accept reservations for private groups of 12 or more with at least one week’s notice, offering customized dining experiences for events, meetings, and gatherings.

Guests are encouraged to make reservations before June 1 ahead of the summer closure.
