Pink Hill Festival Committee plans two Easter weekend events
PINK HILL — The Pink Hill Festival Committee is preparing for a full Easter weekend with two community events scheduled for March 27 and March 28 in Pink Hill.
The weekend begins Friday, March 27, with an adults-only Easter egg event at 7 p.m. at 110 W. Broadway St. Organizers said the event is open to guests 21 and older and will feature live music, trivia, prize eggs and raffles.
Each $20 ticket includes two eggs with prize numbers inside, along with two free drinks. Additional eggs can be won through trivia during the evening. Prizes include ECU tickets, Bird Dawg tickets, golf passes, Stanley Cups, concert tickets and more. Organizers are also raffling a 9mm Ruger, a bottle of Crown Royal Marquis and a bottle of Crown Royal Single Malt.
Tickets are available at Pink Hill Chiropractic and H&H beginning Jan. 26. Guests may also order tickets through CashApp at $PinkHillFestival.
“This event gives adults a chance to enjoy the Easter season in a fun and different way while also supporting community festival efforts in Pink Hill,” said Dr. Jennifer Murphy of the Pink Hill Festival Committee. “We wanted to create something lively and memorable that brings people together for a night out.”
The family-friendly Pink Hill Eggstravaganza will follow on Saturday, March 28, at 1 p.m. at 201 Jones Ave. The event will include an egg hunt with 10,000 eggs, along with prizes, angel hair, face painting, a petting zoo, bouncy houses, The Hula Lady and Ubi the Clown.
Organizers said the event is open to the public and designed to give families a festive way to celebrate the season together.
“The Eggstravaganza is all about giving children and families a joyful community event to look forward to each spring,” Murphy said. “We are excited to offer a day filled with fun activities, plenty of eggs and a chance for families to make great memories together.”
Murphy said the committee is continuing to organize events that bring people together and build excitement around local festivals in Pink Hill.
“The Pink Hill Festival Committee was formed to help strengthen and grow community festivals in our town,” Murphy said. “These Easter events are part of that larger effort to create traditions that families and visitors will enjoy year after year.”
