Public Notice: Kinston Housing Authority Advertisement for Bids
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
HVAC REPLACEMENT
KINSTON HOUSING AUTHORITY
KINSTON, NORTH CAROLINA

Sealed proposals will be received by the KINSTON HOUSING AUTHORITY for the CAPITAL FUND PROJECT NC 004-50124 AND NC 004-50125 until 3:00 PM, THURSDAY, APRIL 2, 2026, and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read for the furnishing of labor, material and equipment entering into the HVAC Replacement project. Scope of work will consist of, but is not limited to, the following items:
1. Separate and Combined Bids will be received for HVAC replacement at Mitchell Wooten, NC 4-2 and Richard Green, NC 4-5. HVAC Replacement of +/- 200 units.
2. Provide all other work as described in the Scope of Work, shown on plans, in the Project Manual and as required by Codes and the Authority Having Jurisdiction.
A Pre-Bid Conference has been scheduled for 10:00 AM, THURSDAY, MARCH 19, 2026. Site Visit will follow. Meeting location is Carver Courts Community Building, 301 East Bright Street, Kinston, NC 28501.
Contractors will be able to arrange on-site visits to see the site at a later time/date. Contact Robert Johnson, (252) 268-7642 to schedule a visit on the following dates, from 8:00 AM-4:00 PM:
• Tuesday, March 24, 2026
• Wednesday, March 25, 2026
• Thursday, March 26. 2026
• Tuesday, March 31, 2026

All contractors are hereby notified that they must have proper license under the State laws governing their respective trades, whether or not Federal Funding is involved.
Contractors will be responsible to ensure that economic opportunities, to the greatest extent feasible follow Section 3 Requirements 24 CFR Part 135.1 and Section 3 Clause 24 CFR Part 135.38.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
