Trenton man charged with 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor
(TRENTON, NC) In February, 2026 members of the Jones County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force initiated an investigation related to a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). During the investigation, Joshua David Cochran was identified as a suspect.
On January 30, 2026 the Jones County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on the residence of Joshua David Cochran. As a result of the investigation, 2,733 files of Child Sexual Abuse Material were located.
On February 19, 2026 Joshua David Cochran, 48, was arrested and charged with ten (10) counts of Second-Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. He was held without bond.
This investigation remains active and ongoing.
