Letter to the Editor: The District Attorney plays one of the most important roles in our justice system
To the Editor,
I am proud to endorse Mike Muskus for District Attorney and encourage voters across Lenoir, Greene, and Wayne counties to support his candidacy.
The District Attorney plays one of the most important roles in our justice system. The person holding that office must have experience, sound judgment, and an unwavering commitment to public safety. Mike Muskus brings decades of prosecutorial experience, including handling serious and complex criminal cases, and working closely with law enforcement to protect our communities.
But what truly sets Mike apart is his character. Beyond the courtroom, he has served as a firefighter and fire captain, putting service above self. He and his wife, Meredith, are raising their two children here in our community, and their children attend Frink Middle School. Like so many families in Lenoir, Greene, and Wayne counties, they are personally invested in the safety and future of our local schools and neighborhoods.
Mike understands that justice must be fair, firm, and consistent. He understands the real impact crime has on families because he is raising his own family right here among us.
Our communities deserve a District Attorney who combines experience, integrity, and a servant’s heart. Mike Muskus is that leader.
