The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow at LCC!

Bob Wagner - stars as Oliver Warbucks

The sun will come out on the Turner Stage as Lenoir Community College Foundation Performing Arts brings Annie to life. Filled with unforgettable songs, humor and heart, the musical follows a spirited young orphan whose optimism changes the lives of those around her. From Annie herself to the larger-than-life characters she encounters, this cast is ready to share a timeless story of hope.

Will Duvall - stars as Rooster

The show, directed by Lenoir Community College’s Jessica Cruz, will take place November 13-15 and November 20-22, 2026, at LCC in the Briley Auditorium on the Turner Stage. This production is part of the LCC Foundation Performing Arts Series. Tickets are available now at www.lenoircc.edu/lccfpa. Ticket prices: accessible seating $15.00, orchestra seating $20.00, standard seating $15.00, and student standard seating (ages 4–17; 18+ student ID required) $10.00.

Leading the production are six performers bringing some of Annie’s most memorable characters to the stage.

Emily Saunders - stars as Grace Farrell

Mollie Mintz stars as Annie, the determined young dreamer at the center of the story. The 11-year-old sixth grader at Arendell Parrott Academy is making her LCC Foundation Performing Arts debut. Mollie has been dancing at Studio 86 since the age of 3 and enjoys participating in music and youth activities at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church. She most recently appeared as a Munchkin in her school’s production of The Wizard of Oz. Mollie is incredibly excited to bring the beloved role of Annie to life!

Bob Wagner returns as Oliver Warbucks, the wealthy businessman whose life changes when Annie enters it. Recently retired as director of the North Carolina Motorcycle Safety Education Program, Wagner first played Warbucks eight years ago in a production cut short by a hurricane. He and his wife, Suzi, have 15 grandchildren and one angel.

Holly Holder brings comic mischief to Miss Hannigan, the orphanage supervisor who makes Annie’s life anything but easy. Holder first stepped onto this same stage in 2005 as an orphan in Annie and is excited to return in a dream role. She also looks forward to co-directing Seussical JR. this spring and encourages young performers to consider auditioning.

Emily Saunders plays Grace Farrell, Warbucks’ compassionate assistant and one of Annie’s earliest allies. Saunders is especially happy to share this production with her eldest daughter, Abigail. She credits her husband, Keith, with helping nurture a love of music and the arts in their home.

Will Duvall returns to the LCC stage as Rooster, a schemer who adds trouble and laughs to Annie’s journey. Duvall dedicates his performances to the memory of two dear friends lost this year, honoring the laughter and memories they shared with those who loved them.

Alyssa Bayless takes on Lily St. Regis, Rooster’s lively partner in mischief. Happy to reunite with old friends and meet new ones on the LCC stage, Bayless enjoys audiobooks and traveling with her family when she is not performing. She thanks her family, cast and production team for their encouragement and support.

With a cast full of heart and personality, Annie invites audiences to discover why tomorrow is always worth
