Mark your calendars! Lenoir Community College will be bringing the holiday spirit to the community with its upcoming production of Irving Berlin's White Christmas The Musical for two evenings and four matinees in December.

The show, directed by LCC's Fine Arts Program Chair/Music Instructor Jessica Cruz, will take place at 7 p.m. Dec. 1 and Dec. 8 and at 2 p.m. Dec. 2, 3, 9, and 10 in the LCC Briley Auditorium on the Turner Stage. This show is one of many that will be a part of the performing arts series at LCC. The title sponsor of Irving Berlin's White Christmas The Musical is Neuse News.

Tickets are available now at www.lenoircc.edu/whitechristmas. Ticket prices are as follows, accessible seating: $15, orchestra seating: $20, standard seating: $15, and student standard seating (ages 4-17; 18+ student ID required): $10.

Along with this outstanding performance, the College will host a Stocking Stuffer Maker's Market, where vendors will sell their products before show time beginning at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 1 and 8 and at 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 2, 3, 9, and 10.

This timeless show is a heartwarming story of love, friendship, and the spirit of giving. This production will take its audience to a snow-covered Vermont inn, where two veterans team up with a duo of singing sisters to save their former commanding officer's struggling business. The result? It is a delightfully nostalgic show full of romance, laughter, and music.

Dylan Fisher will be taking on the role of the Vermont Inn owner, General Waverly. He is honored to be performing in his first LCC show. He studied musical theater at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke. His previous shows include Oklahoma!, 110 in the Shade, Assassins, The Adding Machine, and As You Like It. Fisher teaches music at Northeast Elementary and he would like to thank his friends and family for their continuous support.

Stepping into the shoes of the Inn's nosing and loveable housekeeper, Martha Watson is Suzi Wagner. Wagner has performed in other shows, including Sister Act, Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Annie, The Cake, and Fiddler on the Roof. She loves her husband, Bob Wagner, her children, and grandchildren, and she loves traveling on medical missions.

Susan Waverly, granddaughter of General Waverly, will be played by Carson Cade. Cade is a kind, sweet, loving 9-year-old living in Kinston. She is in the 4th grade at Southwood Elementary School. She recently played Erica in LCC's production of Matilda. She is excited about the opportunity to be a part of this production, and she cannot wait to retake the stage with this fantastic cast, crew, choreographers, and director.

Alyssa Bayless will be playing the part of Rita. Bayless is excited to be back onstage with LCC, where she recently portrayed Mrs. Wormwood in Matilda. A few of her favorite roles include Ado Annie in Oklahoma!, Sister Mary Amnesia in Nunsense, and Morticia in The Addams Family. She would like to thank the production team and cast, her husband and family, and patrons of the arts for supporting the local theater.
