E.B. Frink Middle School Student transported to hospital after reporting feeling unwell

A student at E.B. Frink Middle School was transported to the hospital Thursday afternoon, October 29, after reporting feeling unwell shortly before dismissal, according to a statement released by the school.

School officials said the student was under direct supervision in the front office when he reported not feeling well. The school nurse and school resource officer responded, and emergency medical services transported the student to the hospital as a precaution for further evaluation.

The student's family was notified.

Emergency vehicles were stationed in the school's front circle during dismissal, prompting staff to adjust dismissal locations to allow first responders room to work.

Despite the emergency response, school officials said students were dismissed at their regularly scheduled time from a pep rally in the gymnasium to their buses and the carpool area without disruption to the school day.

School officials thanked staff, first responders, students and families for their assistance and cooperation.

No additional information regarding the student's condition was provided.
