Teacher Charged Following Incident at E.B. Frink Middle School
Update: Alena Chabot is no longer an employee of Lenoir County Public Schools.

On August 26, 2025, a Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officer assigned to E.B. Frink Middle School was notified of a teacher, identified as Alena Chabot of Clinton, NC, who was suspected of being intoxicated while on campus.
During the course of the investigation, an open container of alcohol was located in Chabot’s purse along with prescription medication.
With the assistance of E.B. Frink Middle School staff and in consultation with the Lenoir County District Attorney’s Office, charges were obtained against Chabot for the following offenses:
Misdemeanor Disorderly Conduct on School Property – N.C.G.S. 14-288.4(a)(6)
Misdemeanor Intoxicated and Disruptive – N.C.G.S. 14-444
On September 9, 2025, at approximately 10:25 a.m., Chabot was served with a Criminal Summons related to these charges.
