Obituary: Bobby Brinson
La Grange: Bobby Brinson, age 82, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Tuesday, September 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 1, 1943, in Richlands, North Carolina, he was the cherished son of the late Linday and Jack Brinson.
Mr. Brinson dedicated 63 years as a Barber in Kinston, where he faithfully served his community, cutting the hair of five generations. He was renowned for his warm personality, infectious laughter, and the genuine friendships he formed with those who sat in his chair. To him customers were never just customers; they were lifelong friends.
He cherished spending time with his family, especially on beach trips, and treasured his roles as a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He also enjoyed fishing and spent his earlier years farming on Mondays.
Mr. Brinson is survived by his daughter, Kandis Hill and her husband Mike; his son, Joshua Brinson and his wife Julie; grandchildren, Brandon Hill and his wife Jackie, Kelsey Wilkes and her husband Michael, Kylee Brinson and Jayden Brinson; and great-grandsons, Maverick and Raiden Wilkes. He is also survived by his siblings, Edna Godwin, Lois Neighberger, Faye Estabrook, and Terry Brinson and his wife Becky; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11 AM Saturday, September 6th, at the Chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service with Pastor Blake Dameron officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
