Temporary Lane Closure Scheduled in Lenoir County
A contractor for the N.C. Department of Transportation will utilize a lane closure next week at the intersection of Airport Road and Academy Heights Road.
Beginning at 10 a.m. Sept. 15, crews from S.T. Wooten Corporation will close one lane at the intersection for the delivery of concrete bridge beams.
The 70-foot concrete beams are being used for bridge construction work taking place on Airport Road.
The deliveries are scheduled until 4 p.m. and will follow the same timeframe Sept. 16.
Flaggers will be on-site to assist with the beam deliveries.
Motorists are encouraged to use caution when approaching the work zone and check DriveNC.gov for real-time traffic information.
