KPD arrests suspect in stolen vehicle investigation
On July 31, 2025, officers with the Kinston Police Department responded to a report of a stolen vehicle from a residence on Tower Hill Road.
Following the initial investigation, KPD Detectives quickly developed a suspect and, on August 1, 2025, obtained arrest warrants for Kevin StJohn, 24, of Kinston. StJohn is charged with the following offenses:
-Obtaining Property by False Pretense
-Larceny of a Motor Vehicle
-Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle
-Injury to Personal Property
-Possession of Stolen Property
On August 2, 2025, StJohn was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Lenoir County Jail.
