Greene Early College High School — Class of 2025
Greene County, NC — In a year filled with hard work, growth, and determination, Greene Early College’s Class of 2025 crossed the finish line with courage in their hearts and big dreams ahead. These graduates are more than students; they are leaders, innovators, and changemakers who will help shape the future. Their success shows the power of working hard, staying united, and believing in a brighter tomorrow.
On May 1, 2025, Greene Early College hosted its first annual Graduate Awards Banquet, a special event to celebrate the hard work and dedication of the Class of 2025. This event was made possible thanks to the generous support of DP Hill Manufacturing, Eastern Carolina Lawn Care, Growers Farmers Warehouse, Harper Insurance, Mercadito La Luz, Inc., The North Carolina Center for Resilience & Learning, Taylor-Tyson Funeral Home, Superior Greens, Palms Landscape and Supply, and Pirate Cuts. We are also very thankful to the Deborah Dail catering team and the Greene County Improvement Association for making the night even more memorable.

The room was full of happiness and excitement as friends, families, and faculty came together to celebrate our graduates. It was a special moment to recognize all the hard work, sacrifices, and strength that helped each student reach this important day. As our graduates move forward to continue their studies, start careers, and serve their communities, they represent the spirit of resilience and the power of education.
GEC’s 2025 graduates accomplished something truly extraordinary. The graduating class also celebrated two students who worked very hard and set a great example for others: Karina Rodriguez-Perez, the valedictorian, and Adilene Borja-Santibanez, the salutatorian. Karina reminded us that “life is only one, and you have to live it without fear,” a raw and powerful message of courage we hope every graduate carries forward. Adilene shared the heartfelt reminder that the sacrifices of others, like those made by her parents, are often the foundation of our dreams. Their success shows what’s possible when you stay focused, believe in yourself, and honor those who helped you along the way. We are proud of them and proud of all our graduates for overcoming challenges and reaching this important goal together.
At the close of the 2025 academic year, it’s clear the Class of 2025 has made a lasting impact on GEC. We are so proud of these students for facing challenges, seizing new opportunities, and showing they have what it takes to succeed.
A big thank you to our Graduate Banquet sponsors, teachers, families, and everyone in the community who have supported our graduates along the way.
