Traffic stop on US 70 leads to meth, marijuana, and firearm seizure

On July 7, 2025, Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office deputies stopped a black GMC Terrain for speeding 84 MPH in a 55 MPH zone on US 70 East near Eason Road.

During the stop, deputies smelled marijuana and conducted a search, uncovering methamphetamine, marijuana, and a concealed firearm.

Both occupants were taken into custody without incident and charged with multiple felony drug offenses. The driver, Henry A. Foster, 32, of Caswell County, Virginia, was charged with:

·       Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Methamphetamine

·       Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Marijuana

·       Misdemeanor Speeding (84/55)

Foster received a $25,000 secured bond.

The passenger, Jennifer A. Wallace, 41, also of Caswell County, Virginia, was charged with:

·       Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Methamphetamine

·       Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Marijuana

·       Misdemeanor Possession of a Concealed Weapon (Gun)

Wallace received a $26,000 secured bond.

Both individuals were processed and booked into the Lenoir County Jail.

Sheriff Jackie Rogers commended the proactive work of the deputies involved. “This case serves as another example of how a routine traffic stop can quickly turn into a significant drug seizure. I’m proud of the professionalism and vigilance of our deputies.”
